annual giving program
Thank you for your interest in supporting Dinos Football 5th Quarter fundraising efforts through our annual giving initiative. The 5th Quarter has identified several priorities and we encourage you to indicate to which area of need you would like to direct your donation.
Endowed Scholarship Fund Program
Endowed Operating Fund Program
Annual Operating Costs
Area of Greatest Need
Through the Dinos Football 5th Quarter’s annual giving program, you can choose to make one-time gifts, annual gifts or even make a monthly contribution. All donations are eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt for the full amount of your donation. Most importantly, 100% of your donation will be directed to your selected area of need. There are several types of donations you can make:
You can make a cash donation at any time and for any amount. You may choose to make a one-time donation or you can choose to make a recurring gift, choosing both the amount and the frequency (monthly, quarterly or annually for example).
Give by monthly payroll deductions: call us at 403-305-5355 to sign up for monthly payroll deductions
Give by phone: call us at 403-305-5355 to make a donation over the phone by credit card
Give by mail or fax: If you would like to make a donation by mail or by fax, please print out and complete this donation form. To make a donation by mail, please send the completed form with your payment to the address on the form. To make a donation by fax, send the completed form with your credit card information to (403) 242-0430.
You may be able to double the impact of your gift. Many companies in Canada offer “Corporate Matching Gift Programs” that encourage their employees to make philanthropic gifts to charities. The companies listed below have a history of offering this program and they will match all or a portion of any contributions made to charities by their current and past employees (full-time or part-time), spouses, board members and directors. If your employer is not listed, please check with your human resources department as they may also have a corporate matching donation policy in place. If your company is on this list, contact your corporate donations officer or human resources department for a matching gift application form and to ask about eligibility. Fill in the form according to your company's policies, return it to the appropriate division and forward your donation to the Dinos Football 5th Quarter.
GIFT OF SHARES
Donating to the Dinos Football 5th Quarter with a gift of shares, bonds or mutual funds can be a convenient and advantageous way to show your support. Tax savings: The preferential treatment of directly donated shares means you will receive substantially greater benefits compared to selling the securities and donating the cash proceeds. Gifts of shares are not subject to capital gains taxes · Convenience: The Dinos Football 5th Quarter can accept gifts of shares by electronic transfer or certificate endorsement. Tax Receipt: You will receive a tax receipt for the fair market value of your shares. If you are interested in more information about making a gift of shares, please contact Gregory Vavra or Dan Geremia and we will make a time to sit down with you and discuss in more detail.
Memorial gifts are a wonderful way to honour family members or friends who have passed away. We’d be pleased to assist you in setting up a gift fund in honour of a loved one. This could be done in the form of an ongoing scholarship for example and we can set a fundraising goal that will also encourage friends and family to participate.
A planned gift can be a gift now or in the future and offer substantial tax and estate planning benefits. A donor can be any age; give any amount, use most any asset and achieve personal, financial and philanthropic goals through a bequest. There are several ways to make a planned gift:
Wills and Bequests: making a gift of cash or property by including a bequest to the Dinos Football 5th Quarter in your will is one of the simplest planned giving giving options, whether you are writing a new will or revising an existing one.
Life Insurance: You can make a larger gift than you might have thought possible by naming the Dinos Football 5th Quarter as a beneficiary to an existing policy, or you can transfer ownership and receive a tax credit for the cash surrender value. You may also make a gift arrangement of a new policy to the Dinos Football 5th Quarter as owner and beneficiary, after at least one premium payment in your own name. Thereafter, you receive a tax credit for the premiums you pay after the policy has been transferred.
Gifts of Property
Gifts of RRSPs and/or RRIFs
Gifts of Pension Assets
If you are interested in more information about any of the above gift options, please contact Danny Geremia
