DAVE MALTMAN
Q: What years did you play as a Dino?
DM: 2003-2007
Q: What position did you play?
DM: Offensive Line - Centre/Guard
Q: What is your favourite memory of your time with the Dinos?
DM: I must say that winning IN Saskatchewan on the leg of Aaron Ifield's 52 yarder with no time left in the 2007 season is right up there! We played them tight all game, and the attitude on the field was "there's no way we're leaving here with a loss". I had never won in Saskatoon before that!
Q: Have you been involved in football in any capacity since you graduated?
DM: I coach with the Midget Bulldogs and have done so for the past couple of years. I also had the privilege of coaching the Alberta South U17 teams for the past 2 summers as well.
Q: What are you doing now? (Feel free to include a link to your business if you like)
DM: I work at Great-West Life in the Group sales office. I work very closely with the Sales Team, and am the Financial Analyst for Calgary. In 2008, we were the top Group Benefits provider in the country, ahead of both Manulife and Sun Life.
Q: Do you have a family and/or kids now?
DM: I am not married, and do not have any kids.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share with other alumni?
DM: In my spare time, I train for triathlons with Evan Haney (also Dinos Alumni). In the past year and a half, I have run 4 races, starting with some very short distances, and finished this summer with the Lake Chaparral Olympic distance tri. I plan to continue training and racing...who knows how far it will go! (maybe an Ironman?!)
